vkhp-consulting were appointed by RXA Architects as Structural Consultants to work alongside the historic building consultants Manorwood with regard to the repair and refurbishment of a medieval barn.
The project was to remove the tiled roof and apply a new thatched roof and repair with due consideration for the historic nature of the building and Conservation requirements.
The barn was to be used for entertaining and tasting functions, and also required the conversion of an adjoining building into toilets and chef facilities.
The project also included the installation of new glazed barn doors and a new drainage system.
