Cottage Hospice

Cottage Hospice will be a new build purpose building, consisting of a steel frame structure with curved steel beams and glulam beams supporting green roofs, and profiled metal decking at first floor.The building will have timber cladding at first floor, and rendered blockwork walls at ground floor.
The superstructure is currently nearing completion on-site.

New Purpose Building, East Grinstead

3D render of new purpose building, consisting of single storey structural insulated panels forming the superstructure of the building, over a reinforced concrete basement under the full footprint of the building, in caltite waterproof concrete.
The foundations will consist of a piled reinforced concrete raft, supporting RC retaining walls and internal columns; which in turn support a transfer slab at ground floor.

Private Residence, Guildford

We have recently undertaken the civil and structural design of a new 4-storey building, on a steeply sloping site with complex boundary wall conditions.
Construction proposals consist of a steel framed roof to accomodate room in a roof second floor, engineered timber joists at first and second floors, a precast ground floor, caltite waterproof concrete basement walls and slab.
The client was keen to use Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) for the external walls from ground level for thermal efficiency.
vkhp-consulting developed our own structural revit model to better understand the interaction between the design and the site

School extension in North London

New open-planned nursery extension constructed as a steel frame with timber rafters, precast ground floor and traditional mass concrete foundations.
